Marketplace Manager

About This Position:

We're looking for a Marketplace Manager to take ownership of third-party marketplace and wholesale.com business across a portfolio of multiple brands in the home improvement industry. You'll serve as our in-house expert on Amazon Seller Central and key wholesale partner sites including Home Depot, Lowe's, Wayfair, and others depending on the brand. In this role, you'll focus on driving revenue, conversion, and a consistent brand presence across every digital shelf where our products are sold.

This is a high-visibility role with real impact on the business. You'll work across multiple levers — listings, pricing, advertising, promotions, content, and cross-functional planning — and report to senior leadership while partnering closely with brand marketing, supply chain, and finance. If you enjoy working across multiple brands and channels, and you bring the analytical chops to complement strong creative instincts, we'd love to connect.

  • Location: Remote - United States
  • Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 base salary + benefits
  • Reports to: Senior Director, Merchandising
  • Type: Full-time, Individual Contributor

What You’ll Do:

Amazon (Seller Central + Vendor Central)

  • Own Amazon account health end-to-end — listings, A+ content, Brand Stores, FBA inventory, compliance flags, and brand registry issues — alerting leadership to any revenue-impacting metrics.
  • Monitor competitive activity, Buy Box health, and category trends; recommend pricing, listing, and assortment optimizations while staying current on new Amazon features.
  • Plan, launch, and optimize Sponsored Products, Brands, and Display campaigns in partnership with the PPC specialist, managing bids, keywords, budget, and creative to hit ACoS/TACoS targets.
  • Build and execute promotional calendars for tent-pole events and brand-specific launches.

Wholesale.com Accounts

  • Manage end-to-end catalog setup and ongoing optimization across Home Depot, Lowe's, Wayfair, and other retail partner portals, driving listing quality, review velocity, and conversion on every product page.
  • Plan and execute retailer-specific promotions, seasonal campaigns, and tent-pole events through each partner's portal.
  • Partner with the product development team on assortment strategy by channel and brand.
  • Coordinate with supply chain on drop-ship vs. wholesale fulfillment, EDI/order flow, and on-time delivery metrics.

Strategy, Analytics & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Own channel-level reporting — revenue, margin, ad spend, contribution profit — and translate insights into a weekly action plan and monthly leadership reviews.
  • Partner with brand marketing on launches, content refreshes, and integrated promotional campaigns, and with supply chain on inventory positioning across channels.
  • Identify and onboard new marketplace opportunities where they fit the portfolio (e.g., Build.com, Houzz).

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of eCommerce or digital sales experience, with meaningful time in marketplace or third-party retail channels.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central experience — listings, A+ content, Brand Registry, and Seller Support cases without a playbook.
  • 2+ years managing at least one major wholesale.com account: Home Depot, Lowe's, Wayfair, or similar.
  • Hands-on Amazon Advertising experience (Sponsored Ads at minimum; DSP a plus) and strong Excel skills for pulling and synthesizing marketplace reports.
  • Crisp communicator who can summarize channel performance to an executive in two sentences; self-directed and remote-ready.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent skills in collaboration and influence, both internally and with external partners.

Nice to Have

  • Background in home improvement, home goods, building products, or related categories.
  • Experience launching products into new marketplaces or onboarding new retailer dot-com accounts from scratch.
  • Familiarity with retailer-specific tools: Home Depot IDM, Lowe's Vendor Gateway, Wayfair Partner Home, Seller Central.
  • Comfort with retail data tools: Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar.

Why This Role

  • Multi-brand portfolio — you'll work across categories, not get pigeonholed into one brand or one channel.
  • Full ownership — this is not a button-pusher role; you own strategy through execution.
  • Fully remote, US-based — work from where you do your best thinking.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and a clear growth path into Senior Marketplace Manager / Director-level scope.
