Sr. Sales Manager, Amazon

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, the Senior Sales Manager - Amazon, will lead and grow our largest and most strategic eCommerce account across the U.S. and Canada and act as the single point of accountability for Amazon revenue growth, profitability, assortment strategy, promotional planning, and customer relationship management. As the Senior Sales Manager – Amazon, you will own all aspects of the Amazon business, from strategic planning and customer engagement to execution and performance management. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers, including our Amazon advertising agency, to drive profitable growth and maximize brand performance across the platform.


Job Requirements:


Successful Senior Sales Manager - Amazon candidates will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology or related field
  • 7+ years of eCommerce, Amazon, or omnichannel sales experience
  • Experience within toy, educational, STEM, or consumer products categories preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Amazon Vendor and/or Seller Central
  • Thrives on creative problem-solving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal and fact-based selling and negotiation skills
  • Consumption-based forecasting skills
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights and actions concisely to leadership
  • Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, etc.)
  • Remote position with occasional travel required (up to 20%)



Roles And Responsibilities:


Business Ownership & Growth:

  • Own Amazon revenue, profit, market share, and growth objectives across the U.S. and Canada
  • Develop and execute annual business plans, promotional strategies, and growth initiatives aligned with company objectives
  • Lead annual business reviews, negotiations, and joint business planning with Amazon stakeholders
  • Manage forecasting, pricing, trade spending, inventory planning, and profitability to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Deliver business insights, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership

Customer & Partner Management:

  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with Amazon to drive growth and improve account performance
  • Lead and manage external agency partners, establishing clear objectives, performance metrics, and accountability
  • Partner with Marketing and the Amazon advertising agency to develop and optimize advertising strategies that drive traffic, conversion, and profitable growth

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and Product teams to ensure successful execution of business plans and product launches
  • Drive alignment across internal stakeholders to achieve sales, profitability, and operational objectives

Amazon Expertise:

  • Serve as the internal expert on Amazon, leveraging Vendor Central and marketplace insights to identify growth opportunities and improve business performance
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and Amazon platform developments to proactively drive strategy and execution
  • Oversee advertising investments and performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable return on investment
